Chinese chess on a Monday afternoon

So since I can't see the board here, I'm imagining a cross between chess and chinese checkers, with a star-shaped board, multiple players, and chess pieces, with a king at each point of the star and all the other pieces squeezed into the triangle shapes in front of them. That can't be right, can it?
